Creating your business account: what you need to get started

Short answer

You can create a business account on Oneremit by providing your company details, verifying key stakeholders, and completing basic compliance checks.


Who can open an account

Oneremit is available to:

  • Small and medium-sized businesses
  • Large corporates
  • Businesses making outbound international payments from NGN


Personal or retail accounts are not supported.


Information you’ll need

When creating your account, you may be asked to provide:

  • Business name and registration details
  • Country of incorporation
  • Nature of business activity
  • Expected transaction corridors and volumes


Documents we may request

For SMEs

  • Business registration or incorporation document
  • Proof of business address
  • Director or owner identification


For corporates

  • Certificate of incorporation
  • Shareholding or beneficial ownership details
  • Director or authorized signatory identification


Account review process

  • Submitted information is reviewed to meet regulatory requirements
  • Most accounts are reviewed within one business day
  • You will be notified if additional information is required


What happens after approval

Once approved, you can:

  • Fund your NGN wallet
  • Add beneficiaries
  • Initiate outbound transfers to supported corridors
