Recipient was paid but funds are not visible yet
Short answer
If a transfer is marked Completed but the recipient does not see the funds yet, the receiving bank may still be processing the credit. This is common and usually resolves shortly.
What “Completed” means
Completed indicates that Oneremit has received confirmation from the payout network that funds were delivered to the recipient’s bank.
After this point, visibility of funds depends on the recipient bank’s internal processing.
Common reasons funds are not visible yet
- Recipient bank posts credits at specific times of day
- Additional internal checks by the recipient bank
- Funds credited but pending in the recipient’s account
- Delays caused by weekends or public holidays (for some banks)
What the recipient should do
Ask the recipient to:
- Check their account balance and transaction history
- Confirm the account details used are correct
- Contact their bank directly to ask about incoming funds
Providing the transfer reference may help the bank locate the transaction faster.
What you should do
- Allow a short processing window after the transfer is marked Completed
- Avoid initiating a duplicate transfer
- Monitor the status in your dashboard for any updates
Important
Once a transfer is marked Completed, Oneremit cannot control how quickly the recipient bank makes funds visible.
When to contact support
Contact support only if:
- The transfer has been Completed for an extended period and funds are still not visible
- The recipient bank confirms they have not received the funds
- You need confirmation details to share with the recipient bank
Have this ready:
- Transfer reference ID
- Destination corridor
- Recipient bank name
- Date and time the transfer was marked Completed
